Schools and colleges which invest in Social-Emotional Learning reap rewards for their students and community. But the road leading to this nirvana can be arduous, and the important first step on the journey is understanding the Self.
Persona Life Skills is the online social-emotional learning platform where students age 13-19 develop life skills for wellbeing and employability, with a unique personality insights framework at its heart.
It is really important to nurture a positive relationship with ourselves, writes Jo Malone, our Director of Education, in her latest blog. This helps us meet our own needs, set realistic goals, and be resilient. Understanding Self can be approached from three perspectives: 1. Self-awareness; 2. Self-acceptance; 3. Self-management. In the Persona Life Skills platform, we ask students questions such as: How good a friend to yourself are you? What is the nature of your self-talk? We support them on their growth journey so they can approach their inner selves with compassion, kindness and respect.

Where next on our EdTech journey?
We've been really excited to see teachers from so many countries joining the Persona Life Skills platform in recent weeks, including Armenia, Canada, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Nigeria, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom and United States.
One of the unique aspects of the platform is that it allows teachers to take a version of the same personality quiz that their students take, so they can discover their own unique mix of personality styles, complete with growth area suggestions.
